The Georgia Bulldogs are set to visit Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee for a Week 1 SEC clash against the Vanderbilt Commodores. The Georgia Bulldogs are looking to continue their success from the 2018 season as they went 11-3 with an appearance in the Sugar Bowl, and they return a ton of offensive talent. The Georgia Bulldogs will return their star QB Jake Fromm who contributed 2761 passing yards, 30 TDs, and 6 interceptions last season. The ground attack should once again be strong for the Bulldogs as they return talented RB De’Andre Swift who was responsible for 1346 scrimmage yards and 13 TDs during 2018.

The Georgia Bulldogs had one of the best defenses in college football last season as they finished the year ranked 15th in points allowed, and they will return some key talent on that side of the ball. The Georgia Bulldogs will return their leading tackler from a season ago as Richard LeCounte will run the secondary after contributing 74 tackles. J.R. Reed will also be a big part of the secondary after being responsible for 66 tackles and 2 interceptions during the 2018 campaign.

The Vanderbilt Commodores are looking to continue their success from the 2018 season as they went 6-7 with an appearance in the Texas Bowl, but they will need to replace some key offensive talent. The Commodores will be without their 2018 starting QB as Kyle Shurmur is in the NFL after contributing 3130 passing yards, 24 TDs, and 6 interceptions last season. Whoever is taking the starting QB snaps will have a big-time target in WR Kalija Lipscomb who pitched in 916 receiving yards and 9 TDs during 2018.

The Vanderbilt Commodores need to be much better on the defensive side of the ball, especially in the SEC as they finished 2018 ranked 61st in points allowed. The Commodores will have to replace their leading tackler from 2018 as Jordan Griffin contributed 119 tackles before moving onto the NFL. The secondary will also be noticeably different as they will be without their interception leader from last season in Joejuan Williams (4 interceptions).

Free Betting Pick: Georgia Bulldogs -21

The Georgia Bulldogs are once again a popular pick to win the SEC East and make the playoffs, and their road will start here against an SEC opponent. The Bulldogs return a ton of key talent on both sides of the ball, and the offense should once again be a borderline top-10 unit as Jake Fromm is a potential 1st overall pick in the coming draft. The Commodores have constantly been looked at as one of the worst teams in the SEC, and they lost their top players on both sides of the ball which will lead to an unfavorable result here. Final Score Prediction, Georgia Bulldog win and cover ATS 42-17.
