Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. LSU Tigers

CFB: 3:30 PM EST

Sep. 26, 2020

TV: CBS
Latest Odds : LSU -19 Total 55.5

Mississippi State is heading to the game here with a good roster and the potential to pull off the upset of the defending national champions. The downside is Mississippi State is coming to the game here with a roster that is young, but coming back with quite a bit of talent on the roster.

Garrett Shrader is coming back for his sophomore year. Last year Shrader ended up going 88-153 with 1170 yards and 8 touchdowns, but was picked off 5 times in the game. Kylin Hill is coming back for his senior year after leading the Bulldogs in the rushing offense last year. Hill carried the ball 242 times for 1350 yards and 10 touchdowns.

LSU will be looking to rebuild a lot of their team after winning the national title last year. Now, the Tigers are coming into the game here with a junior at quarterback, but also a sophomore who is coming back to lead the running game. That could definitely put some issues in the offensive side of the ball for the Tigers.

Myles Brennan is the returning quarterback for the Tigers. Last year he went 24-40 on the year with 353 yards. Brennan did end up getting 1 touchdown, but he was picked off once in the game as well. The leading rusher who is coming back for the Tigers is Tyrion Davis-Price who carried the ball 64 times for 295 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Free Betting Pick: Mississippi State Bulldogs +19

LSU lost quite a bit of their offensive fire power from the team last year. Now, the Tigers are going to have their hands full against Mississippi State and while the game is going to be one that holds quite a bit of interest it will be very difficult to see the Tigers lighting up the scoreboard. Look for the Tigers to struggle to mesh good offensively and the defense is returning some key players, but theTigers pull out the win, but probably do not cover. Final Score, LSU Tigers win, but do not cover, 28-24.
