The Minutemen had a fairly decent offense on the year last season. However, that is about to change this year as the Minutemen lost a lot of the talent from the roster they had last year. What does not help the Minutemen out even more is the fact that the team has Michael Curtis who will take over at the quarterback position, but his experience amounts to a total of 6 games last year, but he is more of a rotational and multiple position quarterback compared to what the Minutemen need to have.
Defensively the Minutemen were not that great of a team at all. In fact, the Minutemen were near the bottom of the nation in all the categories, except pass defense. To make matters worse for the Minutemen is the fact they are only returning 4 starters, but that could be a good thing for the defense with how bad they played last year.

Rutgers is looking at getting a new offensive line going from the one last year as 2 starters return. However, the Scarlet Knights are also looking for some new receivers as well as they only return a single starters. The good news for the Scarlet Knights is the fact they are returning Artur Sitkowski who threw for 1158 yards, but only managed 4 touchdowns and a very scary 18 interceptions for a horrible ratio.
The Rutgers defense is missing a lot of the leaders from last year. What else can be a problem for the Scarlet Knights is the uncertain availability of Tyshon Fogg. Yes, Fogg has transferred in and if he gets the waiver in time it could easily shore up a defense that lost a lot of talent from the team last yea and even then the defense barely made it into the top 70.
