The Cavaliers would like to think they are more of a threat than what they really are. However, the Cavaliers are a team that has not been able to rebuild the program nearly as well and that could show after this year. With Bryce Perkins coming back at quarterback, though, the Cavaliers do have a chance to look like one of the more impressive teams if they can keep him healthy and provide support.
Defensively the Cavaliers have one player, Charles Snowden, that could be a difference maker. He was a starter last year as well. However, the intimidation factor can come from the fact that he is in the line backer spot instead of on the line at 6’7”. Not to mention the fact that he was able to record 7.5 tackles for a loss last year and it is easy to see why the opponents are a little bit scared of facing him.

The Panthers are a team that may not really be able to do much this year. Yes, the Panthers are bringing back five starters on offense which includes the quarterback and center. However, the rest of the line needs to be replaced and the running backs this year are new as well and that will make it difficult for the Panthers to be as threatening as what they should be.
Defensively the Panthers are bringing home a great hitter on the line in Rashad Weaver. Last year he was the only real threat on the Pittsburgh squad as he was able to record a total of 14 tackles that were behind the line, but also ended up getting 6.5 sacks. That type of defensive explosion from Weaver, may be needed as the Panthers have only ended up with one linebacker coming back to start this year.
