The Chicago Bulls hit the road on Wednesday with a visit to Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina to play the Charlotte Hornets. The Bulls drafted Coby White out of North Carolina with the No. 7 overall pick. In addition, the Bulls added Thaddeus Young as a free agent and traded to acquire Tomas Satoransky. Head coach Jim Boylen will have a complete year at the helm to work his magic.
The Bulls won just 22 games last season, but many expect Chicago to reach the postseason this year. White’s development into an NBA guard will be important, while established returnees like Lauri Markkanen, Zach LaVine and Otto Porter Jr. must take it up another notch for the Bulls to be legitimate contenders in a weak Eastern Conference.

Kemba Walker is no longer with the Hornets and Charlotte may be one of the league’s doormats this season. After losing Walker due to not handling his contract negotiations very well, Charlotte signed Terry Rozier as a replacement. Jeremy Lamb was lost to free agency, but the Hornets drafted Kentucky forward PJ Washington with their pick in the lottery.
Rozier will be the big gun in Charlotte this season. He will see big minutes alongside veterans such as Marvin Williams. It appears points could be hard to come by for the Hornets this season and that might mean Charlotte will compete with teams such as Washington, New York and Cleveland to see who will have the worst record in the East and the league in the race for a lottery draft pick.

Charlotte may well have the NBA’s worst team top to bottom. Terry Rozier will have much of the responsibility to carry the load for the Hornets while rookie Coby White becomes accustomed to the pro game. Chicago has strong scorers in LaVine and Porter Jr. while Markkanen will rule the paint. Lay the points and take the road chalk. Final Score Prediction, Chicago Bulls win and cover ATS 113-106
