The New Orleans Pelicans visit the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday for the opening game of the NBA regular season both teams. If Zion returns sooner than later from his knee injury the Pelicans could battle for a lower seed in the playoff in the Western Conference. Toronto opens defense of its first NBA title on Tuesday. The Raptors last Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to free agency, but extended the contracts of both Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam. In addition, Marc Gasol returns as a big presence down low and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Stanley Johnson were signed.
The Raptors will rely on the blossoming Siakam and the veteran experience of players like Lowry, Gasol, and Serge Ibaka. OG Anunoby is turning into a legitimate starter in the NBA.
