Latest Odds : NYJ -3 Total 40
On Sunday, the Buffalo Bills visit MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey to play the New York Jets in the opening game of the NFL regular season. Josh Allen begins his second season as the Bills quarterback. Although Allen’s first season included many rookie miscues the talent is there to be an elite NFL QB. LeSean McCoy returns to lead the running attack, while Cole Beasley was signed to be one of Allen’s favorite targets at wide receiver. The defense is Buffalo’s strength and is led by Matt Milano at linebacker and Jordan Poyer at safety.
Sam Darnold returns for his second season as the Jets quarterback and is joined by new head coach Adam Gase and running back Le’Veon Bell. The addition of Bell to the offensive backfield gives the Jets a strong running game as well as helps the passing attack as Bell is also a talented receiver out of the backfield. Linebacker C.J. Mosley shores up an already strong defense that has a strong defensive front four against the run.

Both teams are hoping to give the New England Patriots a battle for the AFC East title. The Jets have the better talent on both sides of the ball with the biggest addition to the team being running back Le’Veon Bell. Buffalo’s Josh Allen has not played at the same level as Sam Darnold after one season and the Bills do not have the same talent at the skill positions as do the Jets. Lay the points and take the home chalk. Final Score Prediction, New York Jets win and cover ATS 21-16
