The Chicago Bears are still in the hunt for their first win in the preseason. Yes, the first week was one that the teams did not really have the stars out for long, but neither did the opponent. That definitely makes it hard to explain the Bears loss by 10 points to the Carolina Panthers, unless it comes from the lack of talent at depth for the Bears and the potential that the Bears are a pretender team.
Chase Daniel was the quarterback who managed to lead the Bears in the opening week of preseason. He managed to complete most of his passes at 11-13 for 120 yards. The Bears also found out that Kerrith Whyte Jr. is a decent back that could make the roster as he carried the ball 6 times for 35 yards.

With the Giants, they looked like a team that could be very impressive this year. The Giants picked up a win over their city rival Jets, but the win was a 9 point victory in a game that saw the Giants offense actually show up and perform, even when they had some of the other players that were backups on the field.
One player that the Giants did take a long hard look at was Alex Tanney. Tanney in the game seemed to have made a statement that he wants to take over for Manning with a 14-19, 190 yards and a touchdown performance. One aspect that failed the Giants was the running attack as Wayne Gallman carried the ball 5 times for only 13 yards.
