The Rams are thankful that Andrew Whitworth decided to come back for another season. The Rams line is not the best and Whitworth was the anchor of the line last year. When it comes to the defense the Rams will be exploring quite a few options. However, one thing that the Rams need to concentrate on is how the defense is able to stop the run in this game. Yes, the Rams should be the team that is able to slow down the run and potentially jam it, but it has been difficult for the Rams to reach that point and last season it definitely hurt the Rams who had the 19th ranked defense.

With the Raiders the question coming into the game here is did the Raiders do enough to address the weaknesses that were exploited last year. Yes, it was a learning curve year for Carr, but he ended up coming back and doing amazing as he had a career best 68.9% completion, but also threw the ball for a total of 4049 yards and that was without the supporting cast the team needed to have for Carr.
Defensively the Raiders filled the barn with a bunch of draft picks. However, the problem with doing that was the fact that the Raiders are coming into the game here with a lot of unproven talent at the pro level.
