The Minnesota Vikings are set to visit Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana for an NFC Wild Card clash against the New Orleans Saints. The Minnesota Vikings come into this matchup with a 10-6 record, and they will be looking to rebound after dropping their recent home game against the Chicago Bears, 21-19. Backup QB Sean Mannion received the starting nod for the Vikings, and he struggled to get much offense generated as he connected on 12 of his 21 pass attempts for 126 yards and 2 interceptions. RB Mike Boone had a productive outing on the ground for the Vikings as he ran for 148 yards and a TD on 17 carries.

The Minnesota Vikings were solid on the defensive side of the ball against the Chicago Bears as they held them to 21 points and a total of 337 yards of offense. LB Eric Wilson led the way for the Minnesota defense with 12 tackles, 2 TFL, and 1 sack. The Vikings were able to get into the Chicago backfield a handful of times as CB Kris Boyd, DE Ifeadi Odenigbo, DT Armon Watts, and CB Mackensie Alexander combined for 5 TFL and 2 sacks.

Free Betting Pick: New Orleans Saints -8

The New Orleans Saints have dominated the number against the Minnesota Vikings as of recent as they have covered the spread in 5 of their last 6 meetings. The New Orleans Saints are currently my pick to win the NFC as they have one of the best offenses in the NFL (28.6 PPG), and I don’t think the Minnesota offense will be able to keep pace with them, especially with their injuries. QB Drew Brees has been one of the top players in the league this season as he has tossed 27 TDs compared to 4 interceptions, but the difference has been the play out of RB Alvin Kamara as he has started to catch his stride, especially on the ground. The Saints defense has been questionable this season, but the one thing they have been rock solid on has been their rush D as they rank 4th in the NFL. The Minnesota Vikings offense has taken a step back since Dalvin Cook went down with an injury, but he is slated to return for this game which means the New Orleans strength will mean the Minnesota offense will have to throw it. Mercedes-Benz is a tough place to play for opposing teams, and the Saints are just too hot right now. Final Score Prediction, New Orleans Saints win and cover ATS 28-17.
